I investigate material through traces that emerge through processes such as time, erosion, and structural transformation. Across drawing, photography, and objects, I focus on forms that often escape immediate perception: fractures, surface irregularities, subtle shifts in texture, and residual marks produced through gradual processes of change.
I understand these seemingly insignificant details not as accidental imperfections, but as material manifestations of temporal processes inscribed within objects and environments. They function as subtle records of transformation, bearing evidence of instability, continuity, and the ongoing negotiation between permanence and decay.
Through processes of isolation, extraction, and recontextualization, I transfer these often overlooked structures into new material and perceptual frameworks. My work examines how value is assigned to elements that are usually regarded as provisional, marginal, or incomplete, while questioning dominant notions of perfection, permanence, and material hierarchy.
Underlying my practice is an interest in forms of perception that operate beyond immediate visibility. I am drawn to structures that remain quiet, almost absent, yet contain traces of duration, fragility, and accumulated histories. In this sense, imperfection is approached not as deficiency, but as a visible index of transformation itself.
Within my drawings, photos and objects I examine the flawed, the imperfect and the uncertain. For me, it's all automatic. I have been conditioned - ever since I can think - to see the smallest details.
I'm interested in everything that is so quiet that it almost doesn't exist.
