Meditations

At the center of these works lies a quiet material process: oil gradually permeates the paper surface, changing its density and transforming opacity into transparency. Through transfer techniques and minimal gestural interventions, the works develop as subtle records of interaction between material, gesture, and transformation.

The series focuses on phenomena that exist at the threshold of perception — slight variations of pressure, residual traces left through transfer, fragile accumulations of pigment, and marks reduced to almost calligraphic movements. Rather than functioning as fixed compositions, the works emerge through a sensitive negotiation between control and chance, where material behavior itself becomes an active part of the process.

Underlying the work is an interest in forms that resist immediate visibility and unfold through slow observation. By reducing visual language to minimal traces and nearly disappearing structures, attention shifts toward subtle processes of change that often remain unnoticed. Fragility, uncertainty, and impermanence are not approached as absence, but as conditions through which transformation becomes perceptible.

Within these restrained interventions, the material retains a quiet autonomy — recording gesture, absorbing time, and preserving traces of a process that remains deliberately unresolved.
